Program:

The Future of Mining Education

We all know that the need for mining knowledge and education is growing as the political environment development of new mines is finally becoming a reality.  But we don’t just need more people being educated, we need totally new courses to address the advances in technology and expectations of our host communities.  The problem is compounded by the fact it is hard to attract new people into our industry.

Fortunately, the education industry is also changing.  There are new technologies, methods, and even institutions that are able deliver high-quality education to many more people at a much lower cost than ever before.  This talk will look at our current education institutes along with new options to see how education can and will change to meet the growing needs of our critical industry.
