The Math Science and Technology Funfest is a unique opportunity for students and the next generation of scientists to learn, explore and dream. Hands-on exploration and demonstrations will highlight the fun of math, science and engineering to students in our community. Attendees learn about mathematical and scientific principles relevant to living and working in today’s society. Our goal is to provide Tucson students an opportunity to have hands-on fun with math, physics and chemistry and other diverse sciences, while igniting an excitement for future careers in those fields. In addition, the knowledge and excitement gained from this experience, helps to improve the students’ academic performance in the areas of mathematics and science.
How can you help? If you are a member of a math or science related organization, company, or group – you can either sign up at NO COST to bring a hands-on exhibit or workshop that demonstrates some aspect of science in an easy to understand way. If you can not sign up to bring an exhibit – you can help by volunteering your time to helping others man booths and workshops. More than 300 professional mathematicians, scientists and engineers make the Funfest possible for Tucson’s student body, along with the generous support of our sponsors.
