Program: John Oliver, Director of Global Accounts and Customer Services for Caterpillar Global Mining, will discuss developments in surface mining technologies and and how the teams at Caterpillar's Proving Grounds and new Tucson operations will partner with customers in delivering these technologies.

Speaker Bio: John Oliver is director of Global Accounts and Customer Services for Caterpillar's Surface Mining & Technology team, a division of Caterpillar's Resource Industries group. John leads a team of global subject matter experts in mining, who offer customers critical support in equipment commissioning, assembly and outages. The team also partners with dealers and product groups on strategy development and management, customer site needs and product input. Global Accounts manages Caterpillar’s largest mining customers around the world in both surface and underground ensuring consistency and top-tier service.

John has been in the mining industry for 30-plus years, beginning as a mining electrician. He joined Bucyrus International where he held several senior-level global positions in North America and Latin America, and continues to grow his mining expertise and knowledge with Caterpillar following the Bucyrus acquisition.

Costs:

$31 SME Tucson members who reserve by deadline.

$39 non-members who reserve by deadline.

Add $3 to above ($34/$42) for late RSVPs if space allows.
Free for current UA mining students who are UA SME members.

Payable at the door by cash, credit card, or check payable to SME Tucson.

Cost does not include bar drinks. Cash bar is available.

Cancellations and No Shows:

Please call or email by the registration deadline to cancel. If you do not cancel your reservation by the deadline, SME is still required to pay for your dinner and you will in turn be billed. Thank you.
